Notes from the Business Meeting, September 17th
Officer Reports
Seneschal: Still waiting on word from Society about the insurance claim from Defending the Gate in March, would like to move storage locker once this issue is resolved.
Webminister: Currently updating the website, set up the email for the new chatelaine and there will be posts out about practices and upcoming demos.
Minister of Arts & Sciences: Quarterly report was submitted (a little late due to illness). Dance and board games will be at the library on October 8th & 22nd, November 12th & 26th and December 10th. We also have two extra days available at the library for A&S on October 29th & November 5th. We discussed possible class ideas and maybe having a Canton halloween party on the 29th?
Marshal: armored practices continue on Wednesdays, rapier practices on Tuesday & Thursdays
Exchequer: no activity last months, funds unchanged
Chatelaine: new people coming to rapier practice at the college, need to get loaner garb moved to new Chatelaine.
New Business
Kingdom Arts & Sciences Festival in March needs a site – can we find a site and staff? or is it too close to Defending the Gate?
Defending the Gate: needs an autocrat, tentative budget and feast menu started
Meetings stay 3rd Tuesdays
Demo: Virginia State Faire fiber demo with alpacas (spinning, weaving etc) – September 27-29
